Installing WordPress

BizConstruct is a Wordpress theme, so you must install Wordpress first. There are several ways to install WordPress but the easiest way would be to use one of the one-click autoinstallers available from you hosting company. Click here to learn how to install WordPress with the most popular autoinstallers, WordPress Toolkit, Cloudron, Fantastico, Installatron, and Softaculous.

Installing a Theme

There are two ways to install a WordPress Theme. We recommend you the first one.

1. Via WordPress Dashboard

To Install a Theme via WordPress Dashboard follow these steps:

  1. Go to your WordPress Admin Panel & Log in (wp-admin)
  2. Go to Appearance/Themes/Add New
  3. From top, Click on Upload Theme
  4. Choose the theme ZIP file you’ve downloaded & Click Install Now
  5. Click on Activate to active the theme

2. Via FTP

To install a WordPress Theme via FTP, follow these steps:

Use a FTP such as Filezilla.

  1. Open Filezilla
  2. Enter the FTP account details provided by your web host in Host, Username & Password field

    Host: Server hostname (ftp.mywebsite.com)
    Username: Username
    Password: Password
  3. Once connected, you’ll see two panels: left - shows the files on your computer & right - shows the files currently on the web server.
  4. Locate your root folder (Ex: public_html)
  5. Extract the theme file; drag & drop the unzipped theme folder to wp-content/themes directory.
  6. If you’re done uploading files, to disconnect just click the disconnect icon
  7. Activate the theme from Appearance/Themes

Install Plugins

Users are prompted to automatically download, install and activate required (or necessary) plugins upon theme activation:

  • Contact Form 7
  • Lazy Blocks

Demo Install

  1. Log into your WP website as an administrator.
  2. Go to Tools → Import in the blog’s Administration Screen
  3. Click “Install Now” link under the “WordPress”
  4. Click “Run Importer” link.
  5. Download this file (click right and “save as”) and upload it using the form provided on the importer page.
  6. You will first be asked to map the authors in this export file to users on the blog. For each author, you may choose to map to an existing user on the blog or to create a new user.
  7. WordPress will then import each of the posts, comments, and categories contained in the uploaded file into your blog. In addition, you can import attachment by checking the “Download and import file attachments” option.

To import widgets you must have this plugin installed. After activation, go to Tools > Widget Importer & Exporter and follow the steps. Download this file to use it for this importer.

Edit pages

After importing the demo as shown in the step above, you should see all the pages displayed as in demo. To start editing these pages, simply navigate to Pages and edit the page you’d like yo modify. All pages are built with Gutenberg blocks:

Assign Front Page & Blog

Navigate to Settings/Reading and assign Static pages:

  • front page -> to home
  • posts page -> to blog.

Save. That’s it!

Logo & Default Headers

Navigate to Appearance/Customizer and select BizConstruct settings:


Widgets & Sidebars

Navigate to Appearance/Widgets and drag the widgets you would like to use in specific areas. For importing widgets as in demo please see this.

Create Child Theme

If you want to use a child theme, we recommend you to easily create a child theme with this Child Theme Configurator plugin.

Translate Theme

"BizConstruct" theme is translatable. All you have to do is to install a specific plugin so you can easily translate the theme in your own language. We recommend you Loco Translate plugin.



"BizConstruct" theme has Font Awesome integrated. This means you can use any icon from this list anywehere in your site with a simple code: <i class="fa fa-telegram"></i>. Of course, you will replace telegram with the keyword corresponding to the icon you wish to use. More examples:
